Attorney Profiles
Joseph H. Antolinez, Esq.
Mr. Antolinez has more than 15 years of experience in Divorce and Family Law. Mr. Antolinez is an aggressive trial court litigator and a highly accomplished appellate attorney with several published opinions in the Colorado Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in both the State of Colorado and the State of Florida, and practices in other states with associated counsel on a pro hac vice basis. Mr. Antolinez has also been admitted to practice in Federal Court, including both the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Supreme Court. In Federal Court, Mr. Antolinez handles HAGUE convention cases, International Child Abduction and Remedies Act (ICARA) matters and International Divorce and Custody disputes. Most recently, Mr. Antolinez successfully defended against a Mother's allegations of kidnapping and abduction and her request to have the child returned to Greece. Mr. Antolinez has also served as an expert witness and consultant in the area of Family Law Malpractice.
Prior to opening his own law firm, Mr. Antolinez worked as an attorney in Colorado and Florida. Mr. Antolinez also clerked for Chief Judge Barry Russell of the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel in Los Angeles, California and for the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles. After relocating to Colorado in 1995, Mr. Antolinez opened his own law firm with his wife which is now known as Antolinez Miller, LLC.
Mr. Antolinez received his Juris Doctorate in Law from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1993. During his legal studies, Mr. Antolinez attended Tulane University's overseas program in Greece and Germany. These foreign studies included International Family Law and enforcement proceedings under the Hague Convention and ICARA. After law school, Mr. Antolinez pursued an LLM degree in Taxation from the University of Denver. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Antolinez received Bachelors in Science Degree in Finance from Florida State University. Mr. Antolinez was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to moving to Colorado, Mr. Antolinez has also lived in New York, Washington D.C., California and Virginia.
Currently, Mr. Antolinez volunteers for the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Foundation. In that capacity, he serves as a Guardian ad litem for at-risk children involved in domestic violence and abuse. He has also done work for the Metro Volunteer Lawyer program and donates numerous hours each year to needy and disabled clients on a pro bono basis. In his spare time, Mr. Antolinez enjoys raising his four-year-old daughter with his Wife and enjoys skiing, fishing and travel.
